A little bit about Masayuki…
Masayuki spent his childhood in a boarding school in Switzerland where he was completely fascinated by the beautiful hotels and their professional hospitality. After graduated from university, he joined Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and worked at 2 Park Hyatt properties in Tokyo and Shanghai. He was then appointed as the Pre-opening Director of Sales at Andaz Tokyo. After successfully positioned the hotel, he moved to Andaz Maui as Associate Director of Sales & Marketing. Masayuki then decided to return to Japan and take another challenge to open Trunk Hotel, an award-winning first independent boutique hotel in Japan as Executive Assistant Manager.
He is currently Chief Creative Officer for Trunk Co., Ltd. In this position, he is primary responsible for all the creatives and designs for the forthcoming hotel projects as well as the development of its hotel portfolio.
He also serves as an adjunct lecturer at Nihon Kogakuin College. He holds a BA in International Studies with a specialization in International Management from Pepperdine University.
