A little bit about Jon…

Jon had the pleasure of being a part of the opening team at Hotel Emma in 2015 and has helped establish the remarkable standards that have placed Hotel Emma in a category of its own.

With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jon began his hotel finance career at The Peninsula New York and held various operational roles. Leaning towards the independent, private, and entrepreneurial sideof hospitality, Jon played an instrumental role in launching and running some of the most unique properties in the United States. Formerly the Chief Financial Officer for The Garrett Hotel Group portfolio, Jon oversaw the renowned Relais and Châteaux properties including The Inn of Five Graces, Lake Placid Lodge, and The Point. Jon additionally opened up the acclaimed The Ivy Hotel Baltimore and Hotel Teatro, Denver.

With his hospitality prowess and abundance of experience particularly with boutique and independent properties, Jon holds a remarkable wealth of knowledge, passion and expertise. Jon believes in hard work and being kind. He leads by example with integrity and patience. He strives to be the best he can be and enjoys an inclusive community empowering others to do the same.

Jon was born in Oslo Norway and came to the United States to play collegiate soccer in New Hampshire. Jon is married to his college sweetheart and they have four boys. When not at the hotel or enjoying what The Historic Pearl District offers, he enjoys reading, music, soccer and being outdoors. Jon is an avid soccer fan and Liverpool Football Club supporter.

Jon looks forward to a challenge and loves the adventure ahead which will continue to bring The Hotel Emma to the next level of extraordinary.
