A little bit about Jake…
Jake is guiding travelers and the travel industry, toward a more meaningful, regenerative, and equitable world. One that maximizes the potential to positively transform how we live our lives, how we live with others, and how we live on our planet.
Jake believes that travel is too often void of intention, integrity, and meaning, resulting in personal experiences lacking their full potential, but also contributing to rising inequities, overtouristed communities, and severe climate impacts. He believes the time is now to disrupt the status quo of travel for good.
Too often travel reinforces boundaries, worldviews, and practices, rather than stretch and evolve them. Meaningful travel starts from the inside out and through universal design principles, he is helping travelers and tourism create the conditions for transformation in a regenerative system. Jake is especially focused on reaching those with the greatest capacity to shift their practices and better support communities while on the road and also at home, whether through business, philanthropy, policymaking, social movements, and influence.
Jake believes that we have a rare chance to fulfill its regenerative, interpersonal, and transformative potential like never before. The moment we are collectively in is uniquely suited for us to advance travel and tourism as a force for good in our lives and in our society.
Jake co-founded and leads the Transformational Travel Council, and is a co-founder and strategic advisor for ROAM Beyond, EverGreen Escapes, and Explorer X.
