A little bit about Richard…

Richard "Boz" Bosworth is the founding General Partner and CEO of JC Hospitality who acquired the Hard  Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in March 2018 and have recently completed a multi-hundred-million-dollar  renovation, transforming the property to Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, which opened on March 25, 2021.

As CEO of JC Hospitality, the ownership group of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Boz developed a unique business  plan with multi-operators within one resort. He often compares his job to being an NBA all-star coach,  managing a team of elite operators who must share only one ball and play as one unit in order to  successfully defend, transition down court, pass, and score.

Prior to JC Hospitality, Boz was Managing Director-Global Hospitality at Canyon Partners a $23 Billion  money management and private equity firm. Joining Canyon in 2008, he oversaw the Real Estate  Division’s extensive multi-billion-dollar hospitality platform, with both acquisition and asset/property  management accountability. This included investment oversight of the Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund  Hotels (Canyon’s partnership with Earvin “Magic” Johnson). Boz’s responsibilities expanded in 2013 to  oversee the portfolio of hotel and gaming assets worldwide across all of Canyon’s investment vehicles.

Prior to overseeing institutional hospitality platforms and real estate investment programs, Boz spent  many years in hotel and restaurant operational management, holding positions with Marriott  Corporation, Servico Hotels and Resorts, and Tara Hotels of Boston. He is often a featured speaker at  national commercial real estate and hospitality conferences, and is a published author whose work in the  baseball fantasy novel The Box Seat Dream was New York WABC-TV’s “Book of the Week” in August  2000. Sales from the book were contributed to Little League Baseball’s Urban Initiative Fund which is  dedicated to growing baseball in U.S. inner city locations.
